Chris Carlblom has always loved finding an outlet for her creative talents.
Growing up in rural Minnesota, her first job off the farm was radio disc jockey. After earning degrees in Speech Communication: Radio/TV and Theatre Arts from Southwest Minnesota State University, Chris went on to work at radio and television stations in Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. In addition to being a disc jockey, she has been a television newscast director, graphic designer and commercial editor; dabbled in painting for a few years (she even had a couple of solo exhibits!); and directed and edited a feature length documentary exploring the connection between visual and musical arts.
In late 2013 Chris moved to Montana and promptly fell in love with the mountains. She can often be found hiking with her camera. The end results are the stunning photographs you see here, portraying peaceful serenity and the true elegance of simplicity.
